Kara’s childhood was spent in Belleville, ON, where she was an active child with a strong interest in various sports, particularly basketball. Her life took a turn while pursuing a degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph, where she suffered an injury while playing varsity basketball. This injury ignited her fascination with Osteopathy and its unique approach to healing.

Following her university studies, Kara embarked on a career as a Kinesiologist and Strength and Conditioning Coach. However, she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more she could do for her clients. In 2016, Kara decided to further her education and enrolled in the Masters in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc) program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, ON. She successfully completed her studies in 2020 and has been practicing as an Osteopath ever since.

Kara is filled with excitement and gratitude as she provides Osteopathic care to a diverse range of patients in the Halifax Regional Municipality. In her free time, you’ll often find Kara exploring outdoor trails with her two cherished dogs, Ash and Kali.

Professionally, Kara is a member in good standing with Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN), the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA), and the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance (CKA).

Jessica grew up in a tiny town in Northern Ontario where hockey was all there was to do. She had a few injuries over the years which drew her to the healthcare profession but during university, she developed unrelenting back pain with no specific cause. After seeing many of the school’s manual therapists, and not getting improvement she began researching. This is when she discovered osteopathy and as she learned more and more about it, she was hooked. She finished her Bachelor of Sciences (kinesiology) and entered the Manual Osteopath program. Jessica is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Since graduating, she has been enjoying helping others and returning to some of her interests after spending 9 years in post-secondary education. She enjoys spending time with her husband and cats (Oliver and Atlas) in her spare time. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and travelling.
